HOW DO I DELIVER DATA TO THE CONTENT DELIVERY NETWORK CENTER?
There are three ways for content delivery:
Physical disk or tape that can be delivered to the network operational center.
Online upload via ADSL or other suitable Internet Link. The customer will have own content publisher and an automated delivery schedule administered by the network operational center.
Online Distribution Center for "Content on Demand" users.
WHAT CONTENT FORMATS CAN IPTV HANDLE?
Almost any. We have analogue and digital conversion capabilities including almost any known video, audio or data format. (Format conversion, content preparation and packaging will be quoted separately).
DOES THE RECEPTION SITE NEED A RETURN DATA LINK TO THE NETWORK OPERATIONAL CENTER?
No, but we recommend one whenever possible, in order to reduce transmission cost and time, as well as to improve the quality of service. The return link can be achieved by a dial-up modem, ISDN, ADSL, GPRS or any other IP connectivity.
WHAT DOES OUR RECEIVING SITY REQUIRE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE DATA CONTENT?
* The satellite dish with LNB (similar to DSTV).
* A PC based Satellite Network Card or standalone premise router connected to the Local Area Network.
* Standard client software for a standalone receiving PC.
* Enterprise client software for Local Area Networks with multiple receiving PC's.
IS THE NETWORK SERVICE LIMITED TO SATELLITE DISTRIBUTION ONLY?
No, we can distribute over Internet or any other IP based Virtual Private Network anywhere in the world.

HOW DO WE CHARGE FOR OUR SERVICE?
Generally there are two groups of users:
Ad Hoc users that pay per use, based on time and the amount of data.
Frequent users that pay a flat monthly fee per receiving site plus a small fee based on the amount of data transferred.
(The Entire receiving site, including hardware and software can be leased from us).
HOW DO I KNOW THAT MY CONTENT HAS BEEN DELIVERED?
Each user receives an online log report upon completed transmission.
CAN WE REMOTELY CONTROL OR INSTALL DELIVERED FILE OR PROGRAM?
Yes, publishing software contains a simple scripting tool enabling unpacking, installation, configuration or playback of the delivered file or program.
WILL OUR CONTENT REMAIN PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL?
Yes, your content privacy is secured via you online access and network operational center operators cannot see the content.
WHAT BANDWIDTH IS AVAILABLE VIA SATELLITE?
We have 2 Mbps on a permanent basis, with ad hoc availability up to 45 Mbps. The bandwidth is available 24hrs, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
WHAT IF WE REQUIRE PERMANENT LIVE TRANSMISSION?
The Content Delivery Network platforms allows dynamic bandwidth sub-dividing and sub-tunneling for such users allowing them to keep a portion of the bandwidth for permanent use.
HOW DO WE COMBINE VIDEO AND DATA INTO A SINGLE STREAM?
That role is enabled by MPEG 4 authoring platform that enables multiple video, audio or data streams to be encoded and played back as a single MPEG 4 video stream.
CAN WE STEAM OTHER VIDO FORMATS SUCH AS MPEG 1 OR 2?
Yes, Content Delivery Network is IP based and allows unicast or multicast of any IP based video or audio stream. IP protocol is encapsulated inside the DVB-S protocol, thus DVB broadcast is already there.
HOW DO WE BUILD INTERACTIVE CONTENT FOR AN INFORMATION KIOSK FOR EXAMPLE?
It can be done via various software means such as HTML, Macromedia Flash, MS Power Point or MPEG 4 authoring where data for interaction can be encoded together with playback controls, web links etc.
CAN WE COMBINE LOCAL PLAYBACK WITH LIVE UPDATE SUCH AS TEXT SCROLL, GRAPHICS ETC?
Yes, MPEG 4 authoring tools allow specific template design based on the timeline that allows almost any desired content combination, for example multiple audio streams with different languages are available for users to select.
WHO RUNS THE CONTENT DELIVERY NETWORK?
The network is a joint venture established between major network users, content providers and technology enablers. The Network Operational Center is run by a small highly skilled and dedicated team.
